Nick sets to the High Seas

Nick will be hitting the high seas in the 2008 Round Britain Power Boat Race which starts on June 21st.

He will be on a boat called ‘Garmin' with his good friend Iain May and Top Gear presenter James May.  The boat will be launched by Jeremy Clarkson.  The race is a grueling 1600 nautical miles around Britain and Nick will be joining the team for one of the legs. 

Nick's intent on bringing "ballast and a keen sense of humour" to the campaign!

The last Round Britain event was in 1984 and a fleet of more than 50 boats faced the starter. The 2008 event will again start and finish in Cowes on the Isle of Wight and a similar fleet is expected.

This race is about endurance and is billed as the Biggest and Toughest Powerboat Race in the world!
