Nick Knowles is an award-winning writer, TV presenter and musical artist with a career spanning nearly 30 years. He is best known as the long-standing presenter of DIY SOS: The Big Build on BBC One - a show that has been running for over two decades, bringing communities together to rebuild the homes of families in need.
Beyond DIY SOS, Nick has presented Who Dares Wins, Real Rescues, Perfection, Break the Safe, Home Is Where The Art Is, Last Choir Standing and 5-Star Family Reunion, as well as more recent travel documentaries including Into the Grand Canyon, Into Death Valley and Amazing Railway Adventures. In 2024 he joined the 20th anniversary series of Strictly Come Dancing.
He co-wrote and executive produced the feature film Golden Years, released a debut album with Universal Music, and authored the best-selling cookbook Proper Healthy Food. He is a longtime supporter of charities including Centrepoint, Child Bereavement UK, Children's Air Ambulance, Walking with the Wounded and the British Citizen Award.
